Locating Devices

Locating devices place the work piece in essentially the same position, in a fixture, cycle after cycle. In this sense, the locator provides a reference point from which all sizing or spacing may be accomplished.
Parts are made in almost every possible shape and size. The tool designer must be able to accurately locate each part, regardless of how it is made.
